Have you ever tried to repair cast iron? In this case part of the swivel base of this vise has been broken off. I made the missing piece out of some 3/8” thick mild steel then used some @lincolnelectric tech rod 99 (nickel welding rod) as filler with my Tig welder. This can be difficult to do but with care and some good prep and pre heat it flows relatively well.
