The Romanian Deadlift or RDL is a great hamstring and glute move. It’s a top down deadlift variation maintaining a straighter leg than the conventional deadlift. This straighter leg variation makes it more hamstring intensive. And dumbbells are a great way to load this move down. If you want to add in that extra focus on your glute max, the band is a great way to do it. The band variation is an odd combo of a band hip hinge and the RDL and deceptively challenging so use a lighter band to start.
