“I’m building a Village…” but so many people said it was impossible. 😮‍💨 When someone tells us we can’t do something, we just smile and keep on building here at The Avalon Village in Highland Park, Michigan.🔥 Some people said it was impossible to create a sustainable, eco-friendly community in the middle of the hood, but we prove them wrong everyday, and continue to transform “Blight to Beauty™️” 🧱 So far, we’ve built The Homework House, The Goddess Marketplace, The Imhotep STEAM Lab, My 3 S

This is what sustainable living is all about!! ♻️ When prices go high, we head to @efurufamilyfarms right here in @theavalonvillage 🐓 A big part of building a sustainable, eco-village is learning and teaching how to grow and farm our own food sources, and to be a space where the community can come and access fresh fruits and vegetables. 🍎🥬 @chefzi_thefarmer of @efurufamilyfarms has been leading the charge to help us be a resource for those in the community in need of food. 🙌🏽 As spring appr
