Pretty impressive for a small, lightweight V6! One of the bigger hangups with the LV3 is the lack of a factory power steering pump.

Dec 14, 2024 · Short update, got ahold of a Mexican Silverado 4.3 LV3 manual transmission calibration, tried that without the speed sensor, drivability was still poor. Installed a tone ring and speed sensor on the transfer case and wired up a speed sensor, now the torque management looks pretty good, no strange behavior of the engine or axle torque.

Oct 31, 2019 · I have an LV3 with a 76mm turbo up and running in an 86 Camaro with a 6L80E behind it. I also had a camshaft ground by Delta Cams, based off a popular V8 grind, and installed PAC springs as well. I'm still working on getting a couple of bugs worked out, so I've only been VERY short distances with it, but sounds wicked with the camshaft in it.

May 16, 2017 · The LV3 is 90* Gen V LT1 V8 based and is nothing in common with the 60* camaro LLT. You will hate the LLT it lacks lowend torque. The new Colorado uses a variant of the same motor and you have to get RPM above 5k to make power. I would go drive a new colorado before even thinking about that swap. The LV3 is a 90* V6 which has decent low end.

Apr 6, 2017 · The LV3 and 5.3L L83 should be same inject ratings easy to get the p/n off the injector to see which one it is, should be 12656932 if its an early motor which is listed for LV3 and L83. I haven't seen a rating for them listed. I know the 6.2L L86 and LT1 is different 125.7 lbs/hr at 1,540 psi per LFP and no sure which p/n unit they are referencing.
