May 30, 2021 · Find the right bullet and they were stunning. When I first loaded with these I tried some hollow point bullets - at 100 yards I never hit the target, but there was no impact in the backstop area either. Took a while to realize the bullets were exploding. Oh, and do NOT shoot these in barrels with any kind of muzzle brake device.
.308 130 gr. bullets | Trapshooters Forum
Feb 6, 2015 · I have used many of these and can make a 30-06 into a shooter for my 13 year old daughter with 110 grain plinkers using cast bullets. I load down my 30-30 (Iron sight Lyman peep with elevation) and this is a blast to dope wind and shoot long to 200 yds with cast bullets. For hunting I use the 308, 300 savage and the 30-30.
.308 vs 7mm-08 vs 6.5 Creedmore with REDUCED loads
Sep 25, 2017 · Horanday discontinued their two best .257 diameter bullets three years ago, the .25 caliber 100 gr spire point and the 120 gr hollow point which is a strong marketing statement on .25 bullet demand. Both bullets are likely the best two killing bullets made for .257 rifles.
reloads for 243 win - Trapshooters Forum
Jan 6, 2014 · The 6mm has just a little more powder capacity and shoots just a little faster than the .243 according to the reloading manuals. Back in the days when I shot a lot of woodchucks/rockchucks I used to like the 87 grain Hornady hollow point loaded with H380. I also used 60 grain Sierra bullets once or twice but did not find them as accurate in my ...
.22 bullet stuck in barrel | Trapshooters Forum
Aug 3, 2007 · If this doesn't work I would find a .22 cleaning rod with a solid head brass jag. Carefully file the end of the brass jag into a flat, sharp, spear point. Then use this to gradually carve out the lead by turning the cleaning rod handle. You could even use a hand drill for quicker results. The brass will cut the soft lead but not hurt the barrel ...

Can 1911 38 super be converted to 38 special? - Trapshooters Forum
Apr 15, 2010 · Read up on the 38/45 Clerke! It was developed a long time ago for the center fire stage in bulleye where a .45 isn't required. They may call it a 38 but it is really a .355 barrel that is rechambered. Shooting .357 cast bullets in it gives you early signs of pressure problems. I shoot the .355 bullets in 124 gs. and 147 grs.

Eye Dominance Lenses from Pilla | Trapshooters Forum
Feb 3, 2025 · Plain nonsense regardless of cost. Cross dominance or transient cross dominance, depending on the shooter and the degree of cross dominance, will require different levels of target/bead occlusion from a simple sight blinder to a little tape, to more tape, to completely closing the off shoulder eye.
Comb or rib first? | Trapshooters Forum
Mar 10, 2025 · Install a R code barrel, shoot the gun at a pattern board. Now install a regular barrel, shoot the gun same distance same board. The POI will be much higher with the R code barrel. Why is that? Comb didn't change but the point of impact did. It's because of the slope of the rib from breach to mussle. My next point.
