Dragon Quest 7 is my favorite in the series and I just really really enjoyed the class system and the vignettes and the massive world. I think this is a really overlooked game that doesn't get the love it deserves. No contest for me. 8 entry - Tie! Okay so I think Dragon Quest 8 is the more polished and cohesive experience.
