May 2, 2021 · You are absolutely correct that Pro Max is too heavy. I exchanged my 12 Pro Max for regular 12 solely because of weight even though I prefer the size. The weight is primarily due to the stainless steel band. 12 Pro is 25 g heavier than 12. most of it is because of the steel band. If Apple made 12 Max, it would be significantly lighter.

But nothing beats my iPad Pro 11 when reading for 6 hours straight on a rainy weekend. (I have an iCarez matte screen protector on it to make reading with no glare possible).

Keep in mind that I'm going from LTE to 5G on T-Mobile so the different band for 5G could be helping with better signal. I was averaging 30 to 50 Mbps down and 20 Mbps up on LTE. Now 120 Mbps to 170 Mbps down and 30 Mbps up on 5G.

However, I was able get a great deal from Verizon by upgrading to the unlimited+ plan for $10 / month gave me an $830 trade-in value for my 12 Pro Max, so the 15 Pro Max now only costs $10 per month.
