Jimmy Fallon has appeared in a YouTube Short confirming he'll be hosting the Pixel 10 launch where Google will announce "secret" products.

Launched was the Google Pixel 10, 10 Pro, 10 Pro XL, 10 Pro Fold, Buds Pro 3, and Buds 2A. The news went live a full hour before Jimmy Fallon took to the stage, in the most consumer-targeted launch event of recent memory.

Instead, it went for buzz with paid celeb appearances, including event host Jimmy Fallon and others like Stephen Curry, podcaster Alex Cooper, the Jonas Brothers, and more. The result was a watered-down, cringey, and at times almost QVC-like sales event, which Reddit users immediately dubbed “unwatchable.”

Alphabet’s Google introduced on Wednesday (August 20) a new lineup of Pixel smartphones and gadgets, intensifying its efforts to embed artificial intelligence across a wide ecosystem of products, and it had a well known name to help sell the new products. Julian Satterthwaite reports.

At Google's Made by Google event on Wednesday, the company introduced a new feature for the Pixel 10 phones called Camera Coach, with help from Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper.

Google teased a star-studded Pixel 10 keynote, and it now turns out that Jimmy Fallon will actually be hosting Made by Google 2025.
