Tiger Woods has withdrawn from the Genesis Invitational. He says he planned to play and tried to get ready but is still processing the death of his mother.

Tiger Woods announced Monday on social media that he won't be playing The Genesis Invitational this week at San Diego's at the Torrey Pines Golf Course

The Genesis has become a mainstay event on the PGA Tour calendar in the lead up to The Masters, but one of the biggest names in golf unfortunately won't be partaking in the tournament after dealing with a personal tragedy.
