The Treasury Department has given Elon Musk and representatives of his Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) team access to the vast federal payment system responsible for handling trillions of dollars in government expenditures,

Elon Musk said his “DOGE team” of government efficiency enforcers is shutting down some payments to federal contractors, suggesting that the world’s richest man may have access to sensitive systems used at the US Treasury Department.

Elon Musk and his nongovernmental team of government spending slashers have been granted access to the U.S. Treasury’s payments system, which is used to disperse trillion of dollars worth of government funds each year.
