The Crater of Diamonds State Park is just as rare as the gems beneath its surface. While it's a busy job, Howell said it's worth it as he considered himself an ambassador for people worldwide.

In September, Arkansas State Parks reported that 258 diamonds had been registered at Crater of Diamonds in 2021. Each day, an average of one to two diamonds are found by park visitors.
