There isn't much known about Hugo Gonzalez from Celtics fans' perspective, but Brad Stevens liked a lot of what he's seen from the Real Madrid forward.

The Boston Celtics have selected Hugo Gonzalez with the No. 28 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft. Gonzalez, a 6'7" small forward, most recently played for Real Madrid. His team was in the 2025 ACB playoffs, so he was unable to travel to Treviso, Italy, for measurements at the NBA's abbreviated draft combine for international prospects.

The Celtics have made moves to get cheaper, with the trade of Porzingis one of multiple moves Boston has made or will likely make to reshape their roster.
