MINNEAPOLIS, MINN. – University of Minnesota infectious disease expert Doctor Michael Osterholm does not support President Trump’s plan to withdraw the U-S from the World Health Organization. Osterholm says, “From a global public health perspective and specifically our health here in the United States, this is a public health disaster.”

The University of Minnesota's spirit squad won two national titles over the weekend, proving for a second consecutive year that the team is a force to be reckoned with. In a first for the program, the U of M won the title in the small coed game day cheer category.
There are a new crop of 20-somethings with an impressive new title. They are the Forbes' 30 Under 30, including the likes of Caitlyn Clark. One of those other impressive young people happens to work at the University of Minnesota.
The money, if approved, will be used next year, and regents say tuition will need to increase without the funding. They add that attracting and retaining students, faculty and staff will also be a challenge.
The University of Minnesota cheer squad also took home a national championship, the team’s first in its history. Cheerleading squads actually originated at the University of Minnesota in 1898. And the team still uses that original chant: “Ski-U-Mah!”
