As of 2:45 p.m. Monday, 317 flights had been delayed at DIA and 17 had been canceled, according to flight tracking data from FlightAware.
"The storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property. Therefore, the warning will be allowed to expire. However, lightning and heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm," explains the National Weather Service.
At 1:02 p.m., severe thunderstorms were detected six miles west of Dousman, moving east at 35 mph, according to the/Sullivan NWS office.
According to a Facebook post from the district, "Some campuses are holding students while the worst of the thunderstorm moves through."
