Tottenham: Thomas Frank reveals plan for Richarlison as Spurs bid to limit Brazilian's injury risk
Thomas Frank warned Tottenham must be cautious with Richarlison ’s fitness as he called for patience after the forward’s brace against Burnley. Richarlison led the line as Spurs began the Premier League season with a 3-0 win over the Clarets and scored the first two goals of the match.
Frank used a 4-2-3-1 formation but, surprisingly, Lucas Bergvall was the most advanced midfielder. He pressed Burnley’s defence along with Richarlison and went on a couple of impressive driving runs with the ball. Throughout pre-season, Pape Matar Sarr tended to be the most advanced midfielder.
Richarlison netted a brace, including a superb scissor kick, and Brennan Johnson scored as Thomas Frank picked up a first league win in charge of Tottenham with a 3-0 victory over Burnley.

Tottenham defender Cristian Romero has endured a ‘rollercoaster’ summer after being linked with a move away from the club for months. The Argentina international was on Atletico Madrid’s list as a potential new centre-back for the upcoming season.
Pape Matar Sarr is once again set to play in the more advanced midfield role, with the deal for the 27-year-old unlikely to be done in time for the first game of the new season. That means just one change for the former Brentford manager, with Wilson Odobert coming in to replace Kevin Danso to allow Spurs to be a bit more attacking.
Frank says Spurs are supporting Tel and expects a huge reception for the 20-year-old in Saturday's Premier League opener against Burnley.
