Tottenham have agreed a deal with Real Madrid to sign Rodrgyo on loan this summer, with Spurs now in talks with the La Liga giants over a 'purchase clause'.

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has said he is counting on Rodrygo amid links to Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. After playing a bit-part role at the Club World Cup earlier in the summer, the Brazilian continues to be linked with a Santiago Bernabeu exit before the transfer window closes.

Rodrygo was left on the bench for Real Madrid's La Liga opener but Xabi Alonso insists there's nothing to read into the decision as Arsenal continue to circle for the Brazilian
