Irish hip-hop group Kneecap led chants of "Fuck Keir Starmer" and condemned Israel in front of a huge crowd at Glastonbury Festival on Saturday, after the British prime minister had said their appearance was "not appropriate".

In the run-up to the festival at Worthy Farm in Somerset, several politicians called for Kneecap to be removed from the line-up.

The Northern Irish trio have been at the center of controversy since their Coachella performance back in April. At that show, they displayed a message that read: “Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian people. It is being enabled by the U.S. government who arm and fund Israel despite their war crimes. F— Israel; free Palestine.”
