Liverpool players have arrived in Portugal to attend the funeral of teammate Diogo Jota and his brother Andre Silva on Saturday morning. The 28-year-old and his brother were killed in the early hours of Thursday morning when their Lamborghini crashed in Zamora, northwestern Spain.

Diogo Jota and his brother Andre will be laid to rest at a service in Portugal today. The Liverpool striker was travelling with his younger sibling in northern Spain in the early hours of Thursday morning when his car was involved in a fatal crash.

“Futebol Clube Penafiel expresses its deepest sympathy for the tragic death of Andre Silva and his brother Diogo Jota, victims of a road accident in the last few hours,” the club said.
