More than 100k tickets have been sent to drivers speeding in Albany school zones since October 2024. Drivers going at least 10 miles above the 20 mph speed limit earn themselves a $50 ticket.

Citations are issued to those traveling 11 mph or more over the speed limit during active school zone hours, according to police.
