The Nintendo Switch 2 launched on June 5, and within just a few hours or less, stock at most or all retailers where it was being sold had been depleted, leading to the Nintendo Switch 2 blowing past the sales record for the company’s previous fastest-selling console.

Nintendo has announced record-breaking sales for its new Switch 2, as fans clamour to find retailers restocking the new gaming console.

Nintendo said it sold over 3.5 million units of its flagship Switch 2 gaming system in the four days since release, a record-breaking start for the company.
