The Israeli military carried out strikes on Hezbollah “drone factories” in southern Lebanon and suburbs of Beirut on Thursday, as large plumes of smoke could be seen rising from the Lebanese capital.

A series of Israeli strikes have targeted Beirut’s southern suburbs, almost an hour after the Israeli army issued an evacuation order to residents of the area, in areas that it said held underground facilities used by Lebanese group Hezbollah for drone production.

Israel has carried out several air strikes on Beirut's southern suburbs, saying it was targeting Hezbollah's drone production. The attack on Thursday night, the eve of Eid Al Adha, one of the most important celebrations in Islam, followed evacuation warnings for several buildings in the area, where Hezbollah is based in the capital.
