Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang criticized U.S. export controls blocking the sale of its AI chips to China. Last month, the chipmaker noted a $5.5 billion write-down to its inventory, after the U.S. demanded companies get a license to sell their AI chips to China.

TAIPEI (Reuters) -U.S. export controls on artificial intelligence to China were a failure, Nvidia Chief Executive Jensen Huang said on Wednesday. Speaking at the annual Computex event in Taipei, Huang said Nvidia's market share in China dropped to 50%, from 95% at the start of former U.S. President Joe Biden's administration.
