Mercy Medical Center in Springfield has just opened its new Palliative Care Unit, the first in western Massachusetts.

The acute care hospital will house 75 inpatient beds, a 26-bed ED with two trauma areas, and four behavioral health rooms.

The restaurant will require a re-inspection after live cockroaches were observed, according to a May 13 inspection report.
