(WLUK) -- Friday's late afternoon skies featured a unique, eye-catching cloud formation. FOX 11 viewers from across Northeast Wisconsin submitted pictures of the peculiar straight-line clouds.
Even the biggest clouds look like miniature marshmallows ... near the Qatari border, acting like a miniature cold front pushing ashore—along which a line of cumulus clouds developed.
What does come out of the wall of clouds on the leading edge of squall lines are vicious straight line winds known as “downbursts.” These winds can be as deadly and damaging as tornadoes.
