University of Delaware alumnus Ryan Carty will begin his second season as the Blue Hens’ football coach on Thursday, Aug. 31, when UD visits Stony Brook for a Colonial Athletic Association contest.

Carty could not be reached late Monday for comment. But Barrington thanked him for his total of 18 years of coaching with the Panthers, including the last 14 as head coach.
