The legendary British architect Norman Foster has won the contest to transform St James’s Park in central London into tribute to late queen’s "unifying force".

Foster + Partners architecture firm beat out four competitors to design the memorial, which will also feature statues of the queen and her husband, Prince Philip.

Now, both the location and the statue has been unveiled: the national memorial to Queen Elizabeth II will transform St James’s Park.
