PORTLAND, Ore. ( KOIN) — This weekend you can celebrate the spirit of Mardi Gras without having to travel to New Orleans. A special Mardis Gras Ball is coming this Saturday and next Tuesday a parade will take over North Mississippi Avenue. KOIN 6 News’ Kohr Harlan visited Mississippi Avenue to learn more about the upcoming events.

Portland's MarchFourth was created for a Mardi Gras event. It plays the home of its musical roots on Feb. 25 at Music Box Village.
