While that was the most-watched game in the 2024 College Football Playoffs, it was also down significantly from last year's championship game between the Michigan Wolverines and Washington Huskies, which averaged 25.05 million viewers a year ago.

Ohio State has another National Championship under its belt, and 22.1M people tuned in to watch the Buckeyes defeat Notre Dame for the title on Monday. That’s a pretty strong number, even though it is down from last year’s 24.

Ohio State is on top of the college football world thanks to their four-game run over the last month. The Buckeyes topped their College Football Playoff run off with a 34-23 National Championship win over the Notre Dame Fighting Irish on Monday night.
