On Wednesday, the Minnesota DNR released the results from the 2024 season. More than 170,000 deer were harvested statewide, up 7% from last year. That is also up 9% across northeast Minnesota. DNR leaders say rough winters in 2021 and 2022 thinned the herd significantly but last year’s mild, low-snow season helped boost deer numbers.
