Barcelona kicked off their La Liga title defense in style, easing past nine-man Mallorca with a 3-0 win on a night that also saw Marcus Rashford make his long-awaited debut in Catalonia.
In the 36th minute of the La Liga 2025-26 matchday 1 fixture at San Moix, Muriqi challenged for a loose ball towards Barcelona’s penalty box, catching Joan Garcia in the face with his left foot. The referee had initially shown a yellow card, but VAR called for a review, prompting the referee to upgrade the decision to a red card.
Marash Kumbulla is a new Mallorca player, the only thing missing is the official announcement. After a loan spell with Espanyol, the player is returning to La Liga but is switching clubs. Bailey’s agent confirms Roma’s interest: “We are seriously considering this opportunity.”

The LaLiga side confirmed on Saturday that Rashford had been included in their squad for the match against Mallorca. There had been doubts on the eve of the new season over Rashford's registration, with Barça coach Hansi Flick saying he was "not happy" with the situation but trusted the club to sort it.
