The US is expected to announce a trade agreement with the UK shortly, according to people familiar with the matter, a move which could make Britain one of the first to make a deal with President Donald Trump.

The deal carves out exceptions for the UK but may confirm a 10% tariff is likely the lowest Trump will impose on most countries' imports.
