President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania got a mixed reception at the Kennedy Center as they took their seats for the opening night of "Les Miserables." There were reports that up to a dozen performers would boycott the performance.

The president and first lady attended a local debut of 'Les Misérables' on Wednesday in Washington, D.C, at the venue he torpedoed and took over in February.

The president’s attendance was meant as a fundraiser for the cash-strapped arts center, which has seen a decline in ticket sales since he took control.
