"Storms outside the Tampa Bay region can still alter aircraft traffic patterns and may result in delays or cancellations, including when delayed flights may be able to utilize a runway for takeoffs or landings," Joshua Gillin, a spokesperson for Tampa International Airport (TPA), said in a statement to 10 Tampa Bay.
