One of Florida’s popular natural springs has halted all boating activity due to a large alligator seeking out humans in the water, according to the U.S. Forest Service.
An alligator without a head or tail washed up on the shores of a canal in Cape Coral, Florida, and no one knows how it got that way. Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and residents speculated the gator's death could be due to poachers or getting stuck under a boat.
Outside here, we see stingrays and dolphins numerous times,” Baenen said. “Never a gator — and never like this.”
An alligator missing both its head and tail was found in a Florida canal, and state wildlife officials suspect it may be the work of a rogue hunter.
