Pets are allowed in the viewing area of the parade — not in the parade itself. However, PRIDEChicago recommends keeping nervous pups and other pets at home. The streets will be crowded with many distractions and could be overwhelming for animals.

The Houston Pride Parade takes place from 7 to 10 p.m., starting at Smith and Lamar streets near City Hall. The route heads north on Smith, turns right on Walker, and continues to Milam. The parade is free and open to all ages. VIP tickets, which include access to both the parade and festival, start at $175.
