Jaxson Dart was already praising a fellow Giants rookie in the pre-draft process before the two became teammates in New York.

The New York Giants decided three days before the start of the 2025 NFL draft that Jaxson Dart was the quarterback they wanted. Per ESPN's Jeremy Fowler, Giants officials said they finalized Dart as their guy at quarterback on Monday of draft week.

To get Dart, the Giants sent their second-round pick (No. 34), one of their third-round picks (No. 99) in this draft and a third-round pick next year to the Texans for the No. 25 pick. It was important for Schoen not to give up pick No. 65 — the first pick in the third round — and he was able to pull that off.
