Right-hander Slade Cecconi, one of the reasons for the Guardians’ revival, took it on the chin for the second straight start. Cecconi (5-6, 4.50) allowed eight runs, six earned, on 10 hits in 4 2/3 innings.

Hurston Waldrep pitched six scoreless innings in a combined two-hitter and Nacho Alvarez Jr. and Michael Harris II each drove in a run, giving the Atlanta Braves a 2-0 victory over the Cleveland Guardians.
