Chicago residents are cleaning up after strong storms with hard rains caused flash flooding Friday, especially on the South Side.
The heavy rain came after severe flooding in the area killed three people and damaged dozens of homes on July 8.
BOTKINS, Shelby County — Portions of a busy road in Shelby County are closed due to flash flooding. The Village of Botkins posted on social media that County Road 25-A, near State Route 274, is blocked due to heavy rainfall and high water.
The rain arrived in the area early Friday morning and it could be sticking around for the rest of the weekend.
