Destiny 2 will give Titans a set of Stormtrooper armor as a microtransaction for a Star Wars collab. Is that crossing a line?

Star Wars items will launch day one with Heresy on February 2nd. Destiny has had other collaborations in the past, including ones with Fortnite, Mass Effect, Assassins Creed, The Witcher, and others. Heresy is the third episode in Destiny 2 and is the final epilogue of the Light and Darkness saga.

During a Destiny 2 livestream today, developer Bungie announced that it’s adding new Star Wars -themed cosmetic skins and items to the popular free-to-play shooter next month.

The Star Wars skins are a good fit for the armor-clad characters of Destiny 2, although it's interesting that all of it is inspired by the space fascist team—I guess the thing to do is acknowledge that it looks cool and not think about it much beyond that.

Bungie has lifted the lid on a surprising new crossover for Destiny 2: cosmetics from the world of Star Wars. Stormtrooper, Praetorian Guard and Death Trooper outfits are on the way, alongside a Ghost shell themed around the Second Death Star. It even has a cute little green energy beam!

Destiny 2 has changed considerably since it released in 2017. It became free to play in 2019, and has since released epic expansions like The Witch Queen, Lightfall, and last year's The Final Shape.
