When speaking to Nursulton Ruziboev after their fight was cancelled, Bryan Battle’s comments during fight week were brought up. Battle had told Spinnin Backfist that he blamed his opponent for their now cancelled bout being scheduled to take place on the prelims.
Despite moving back to middleweight after coming in four pounds over in his last welterweight bout, Battle is once again in the same position as he was at UFC 310. This time, the 13-2 fighter is four pounds over the middleweight limit, coming in at 190 pounds.
