Two wildfires in Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park, possibly sparked by lightning early Thursday, have led to the evacuation of the park as firefighters respond to the blazes.

The wildfire on the South Rim has burned 2.5 square miles (6.5 square kilometers), with no containment of the perimeter.
