My dear, I advice you not to go when monsoon time. I been there on the last day before it close this year in May 2018. Someone got hurt on feet because the boat cannot come in near the beach and we need to walk into the water which had rock. I also got minor accident and get a big blue black on my thigh because of a sudden wave I slip my leg from the boat stair when I walking down to snorkelling.

To my knowledge the tour to the Similian Islands only leaves from Phuket. Therefore you would have to fly, go by bus or by car to Phuket. Phuket is 844 km from Bangkok. Flying …

To my knowledge the tour to the Similian Islands only leaves from Phuket. Therefore you would have to fly, go by bus or by car to Phuket. Phuket is 844 km from Bangkok. Flying time 1 hour 10 minutes. By road 11 hours 17 minutes.

its officially closed from 15 may to 15 october every year!

I think you should check with your tour guide. There were so many different tour guides on the island its hard to say either.
