This gap is very close to Alice Springs and is lovely. I did the cassia hill walk first which took about 25 minutes and then drove to the gap. Lots of parking and easy access. Well worth a visit.Full review by wombatdavid

Not that I could see one. You have to remember it is a pretty remote area out there. However, further along the scenic route like Stanley chasm, they have a good camp ground facility although basic but you can stay there and have a BBQ. There is also a kiosk where they sell food.
would like to know what the walking terrain is at Simpsons Gap?? I am getting over a broken ankle ( walking now with minimum of discomfort )and I always walk in well supported walking shoes .
